Footy Action

The kids both enjoy their Aus-kick on a Friday morning, the coaches are great and keep the activites/drills fast and constantly changing to stop them getting too bored. However last week the coaches struggles to keep any of the kids interests…

About 10 minutes after football started, 2 local men turned up at the park with their pet falcons. The men were lovely at all the kids pat the birds (they had their little hats on and their eyes covered so it was safe) and most of the kids had their photos taken.

After the excitement on the falcons, the coaches finally got the kids back to the footy drills, this lasted about 5 minutes before a helicopter landed on the helipad about 150m away (but on the other-side of the fence)  from where they were playing. So the next part of football was spent with the kids all up against the fence trying to get a better look. They did finally play for about the last 10 minutes of the session… no doubt it will be the session they remember for ages!
